Amateur music, which grows from the ground up, is a powerful driver for raising public awareness, fostering listening, encouraging social cohesion and inclusion, attracting and developing new talent, and preserving an immense <strong>cultural heritage<\/strong>. That\u2019s why we are pleased to open the new season with a slogan that represents our founding value:&nbsp;<strong>\u201cClassical Music, for Passion\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Artistic Residency<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, we have the pleasure of opening the season with the artistic residency of <strong>Maestro Luca Quaranta<\/strong>, a young and talented flutist, who enthusiastically embraced the idea of collaborating with Officina Filarmonica\u2019s Amateur Orchestra throughout the year, performing as a soloist.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/officinafilarmonica.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Luca-Quaranta.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1395\" style=\"width:422px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officinafilarmonica.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Luca-Quaranta.jpg 500w, https:\/\/officinafilarmonica.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Luca-Quaranta-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/officinafilarmonica.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Luca-Quaranta-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/officinafilarmonica.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Luca-Quaranta-200x200.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Maestro Luca Quaranta<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Luca Quaranta earned his first and second academic diplomas in flute at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and the \u201cAlfredo Casella\u201d Conservatory in L\u2019Aquila. He further specialized at the Latvian Academy of Music in Riga with Prof. Ilona Meija, and later with maestros Andrea Oliva, Christina Fassbender, Andrea Manco, Renate Grei\u00df-Armin, and Paolo Taballione. He has performed as guest principal flute with the Gonfalone Chamber Orchestra, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the International Chamber Orchestra Academy of Filisburg, and the FAMES Institute Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since September 2024, he has served as Assistant Professor at the Niccol\u00f2 Piccinni Conservatory in Bari, in the classes of M\u00b0 Giulio Francesconi and M\u00b0 Roberta Zorino. In October of the same year, he won first prize and the special prize for contemporary music at the IX Flute International Competition in Varna. In May 2025, he won first prize at the XXXII ANEMOS International Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luca Quaranta performs on a hand-crafted Powell Aurumite\u00ae 9K Conservatory flute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The 2025\u20132026 Concerts<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The season will open with the participation of the <strong>Officina Filarmonica Trio<\/strong> in the celebrations for the Feast of the Madonna del Pozzo, held in the Cloister of Santa Maria in Via, in Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October, we will continue our collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/romecenter.uark.edu\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/romecenter.uark.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Arkansas \u2013 Rome Center<\/a>, for which our <strong>chamber ensembles<\/strong> will perform at private events in the historic palaces of the Capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>December is the month of concerts by the <a href=\"https:\/\/officinafilarmonica.it\/en\/orchestra\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"177\">Officina Filarmonica Orchestra<\/a>, featuring an ambitious program dedicated to C.P.E. Bach, Mendelssohn, and Wagner. On this occasion, <strong>Maestro Luca Quaranta<\/strong> will perform C.P.E. Bach\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Flute Concerto in G major, H.445<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The season will continue with a series of <strong>Spring Concerts<\/strong> and with the <strong>Officina Filarmonica Festival<\/strong> on Sundays in May, aimed at bringing Roman audiences closer to classical music, during which Maestro Luca Quaranta will once again perform as soloist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our Supporters<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an extraordinary season for us, full of musical commitments and challenges for our Association. All this is made possible thanks to the passion of an <strong>extraordinary group of musicians<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/officinafilarmonica.it\/en\/about-us\/music-director\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"160\">Maestro Rocco Sbardella<\/a>, who devote much of their free time to supporting this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A special thank you goes to the <strong>Italian Army Band<\/strong>, which hosts us and provides us with the opportunity to grow and continue on our journey, and to <strong>our Audience<\/strong>, whose presence at our concerts helps keep our activity alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are always looking for patrons who care about our mission, or for anyone who wishes to <strong>support us with a donation<\/strong>.
