Christmas in music

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 5:30 PM, the musicians of Officina Filarmonica will celebrate the Christmas holidays with the concert “Christmas in Music”, which will take place in the enchanting setting of the Basilica of Saints Bonifacio and Alessio – located at Piazza Sant’Alessio 23, in the Aventine district of Rome.

The concert will be conducted by Maestro Rocco Sbardella, with a program featuring classics from the Christmas music tradition:

  • Johann Sebastian Bach
    • Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248 – Part 2, Sinfonia
    • Cantata BWV 147, Jesus bleibet meine Freude
  • Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
    • The Seasons, Op. 37b – No. 12, December
    • The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a
