Music at Court

The musicians of Officina Filarmonica come back to play on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 5:00 PM, in the wonderful setting of the Basilica of Saints Bonifacio and Alessio – located at Piazza Sant’Alessio 23, in the Aventine District, Rome – with a concert titled “Music at Court”.

A journey through the entertainment music of the 18th century – commissioned by European nobles to welcome their guests to court and now rarely performed in concert halls – which entertains us with its festive rhythms, as a tribute to spring.

The concert will be conducted by Maestro Rocco Sbardella and features the following program:

  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Six German Dances – K509
  • Johann Sebastian Bach, Orchestral Suit No. 3 in D major – BWV 1068
  • Franz Joseph Haydn, Symphony No. 20 in C major – Hob. I:20

The concert will take place on an “green Sunday”: an opportunity to take a walk through the Circus Maximus and the streets of the Aventine District, visit the Garden of Oranges and experience the musical project of Officina Filarmonica live.

Free entry, and no reservation is required. Don’t miss it!
