The Officina Filarmonica Orchestra
The Officina Filarmonica Orchestra is an amateur ensemble created to offer an opportunity to musicians who, despite having chosen a profession outside the music field, still wish to cultivate their passion. The orchestra aims to promote and enhance the cultural heritage of so-called “classical music” and to provide meaningful opportunities for ensemble music-making.
The orchestra is open to all amateur musicians who share a passion for classical music and have experience studying an instrument (strings or winds) or playing in an orchestra, purely for the joy of it.
The orchestra rehearsals take place in Rome, in the Cecchignola district, on Tuesday, from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
What do we offer?
Officina Filarmonica is committed to ensuring a quality orchestral experience, with particular attention to repertoire and to the relationship between conductor and musicians. At the same time, Officina Filarmonica will commit to organize several concerts – one every three months – also in collaboration with other musicians, institutions and organizations in the local area.
What do we ask?
We ask the musicians a consistent individual study of the repertoire, a constant attendance at all rehearsals and at all organized concerts. Failure to comply with individual study, attendance at rehearsals and attendance at concerts will result in the exclusion from the Orchestra.
