Passione Classica – Festival of Music, Culture and Community

The 2025-2026 season of Officina Filarmonica, from May 10th to May 24th, 2026, is enriched by a new initiative.

We are proud to present “Passione Classica – Festival of Music, Culture and Community”, an event dedicated to classical music, conceived as an opportunity for encounter between people and cultures. Lectures, concerts, and shared moments intertwine to create an open space where music becomes a collective experience and an opportunity for cultural growth, both for individuals and the community.

“Passione Classica” is a project conceived by the Artistic Direction Committee of Officina Filarmonica and carried out under the Musical Direction of Maestro Rocco Sbardella.

The Festival – featuring the amateur musicians of Officina Filarmonica and the special participation of Maestro Luca Quaranta, Artist in Residence of the Association – offers a dialogue with the audience, who are invited to journey through eras, styles, and languages of the musical tradition, fostering exchange between different sensibilities.

«Passione Classica was created with the aim of making classical music more accessible, vibrant, and shared, promoting listening, participation, and the value of culture as a common good». With these words, the President of Officina Filarmonica, Claudio Avallone, describes the Association’s commitment to the community: «Music is a shared heritage that must be preserved. In our vision, dialogue and collaboration between amateur and professional musicians are essential to ensuring the future of this extraordinary cultural legacy».

Programme

The Festival programme is structured into three lecture-concerts, conceived as guided listening and in-depth exploration experiences:

  • The Wind Quintet
    Sunday, May 10, 2026 – 5:00 pm
The rich timbral palette and expressive evolution of the wind quintet, from Haydn to Taffanel.
  • Mozart and the Singing Flute
    Sunday, May 17, 2026 – 5:00 pm
The expressive voice of the flute in Mozart’s famous Concerto in G major for flute and orchestra.
  • From Mozart to Haydn: The Voice of the Trumpet
    Sunday, May 24, 2026 – 5:00 pm
From Mozart’s divertimenti to the brilliant sound of the trumpet in Haydn’s Concerto in E-flat major for trumpet and orchestra.

Three events that, through the dialogue between audience and musicians, offer an opportunity to approach the forms, languages, and history of music with an engaged and informed perspective.
